Toronto Wedding Photography
This beautiful couple said I do! They are the embodiment of sweetness, thoughtfulness and all things true to young love. Being able to spend the day with them to document their big day through images was a dream come true. This is just a small sampling of highlights from the day! Congratulations E & D. I wish you both nothing but the best of everything in life together — at Blink of an Eye Photography – Toronto Wedding Photography
Harbour wedding photography
While we are on vacation in South Carolina we have been exploring an area on one end of the island called Sea Pines. It is a beautiful part of the island and has many distinct areas to walk through. Once of the most famous parts is the lighthouse and marina at Harbour Town. If you are a fan of golf you may recognize this famous lighthouse. The PGA event on Hilton Head (RBC Heritage) often shows the lighthouse in many of its images.
Living where we do in southern Ontario we are blessed to be near the lake. Capturing these images reminds me of my wedding. Our wedding was at the Oakville yacht club overlooking the marina and harbour. The setting was magnificent as we were married on a wonderful summer day. We shouldn’t forget that there are so many great places to use for wedding photography along the lake from Mississauga to Oakville to Burlington and Niagara.
Places at the lake in Oakville for Wedding Photography:
- Gairloch Gardens
- Oakville Harbour
- Bronte Harbour
- Erchless Estate
Some Mississauga wedding photography locations
- Adamson Estate
- Benares Historic House
- Bradley Museum
- Leslie Log House
- Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens
- Richard’s Memorial Park
Don’t forget that in many areas (Oakville and Mississauga included) you do need to apply and pay for permits to use them for wedding photography.
Photographers view of Savannah
I love taking pictures of old cities, the architecture, history and detail n the photographs are always wonderful. I always imagined as a photographer that it would be one of my favorite venues for wedding. While we have been vacationing in South Carolina we spent the day in Savannah, Georgia. If I ever had an opportunity it would make a great backdrop for wedding photography. They have “squares” throughout the old city filled with fountains, massive old trees, status and other relics of the old south. Many of the historical buildings or the waterfront would also create a beautiful frame for any wedding party.
The horse drawn carriages, flowing gowns, paddle boat cruise of the summer evening, the smells of southern food filling the air would truly create a day out of Gone With The Wind. Below is just a few pictures from our day.
We’ve passed by this little nook for years coming down to the island. Today we finally made a point of stopping the car and ventured in. There was such a treasure of vintage decor and antique finds here! I was in absolute heaven I’m heading back before we leave to bring back a few new “additions” to our home — in Hilton Head Island, SC.
The building has a very unique and historical background. This 1873 church building nestled on the nursery property at The Greenery is a delight for history buffs and for shoppers. In 1973, Ruthie and Berry Edwards saw a quaint little church for sale, right next to the brand new Bethlehem Baptist Church. The building had a ‘For Sale’ sign, so the Edward’s purchased it for $600 and barged the old church to Hilton Head, where it now sits. Click here to check out more of its history.
My Vacation Through Photography
We are currently away enjoying a much needed break from our hectic lives. It is a time for our whole family to reconnect and join some much needed downtime together. During these times I get to take photos and document our time together as a tourist. For the next little while I will show a few of our special moments together. My family and kids are very special in my life. I love capturing those moments when my kids are being themselves. This love of the innocence of children is why I do what I do. beyond weddings I get to spend much of my work week capturing babies and kids just being themselves.
|One of my passions has always been the beauty of nature. For those who don’t know me personally before photography I majored in biology. my whole life I have been around animals and I love nothing more than going for a hike or spending tje summer camping. it is great to be hear in south carolina where it is warm enough to take photowalks or just sit outside in the evening or night. Hopefully before we go I will be able to capture the dear that visit our garden, the owls at night and an alligator or two.|
Best or worst wedding advice
During the run up to your wedding and in the “honeymoon” years your will get lots of advice about how to have a successful marriage. Some of it will be good. Some not as relevant. We have been following a facebook page and site called “marriage” that has daily (or more frequent tips) on marriage. It is somewhat religious but not every update is religious based. With that there are lots of great simple tips and updates that bring being married into context.
Some of the more recent updates that we like are:
- “Being in love means never having to say you’re sorry.” Whoever said that is probably divorced! The truth is that husbands and wives must be quick to forgive and humbly seek forgiveness from each other. “I love you,” “I’m sorry” and “I forgive you” should be said often.
- Love your spouse even when they’re being unlovable. When you promised “For better or for worse,” you promised to love them when they were at their best, but also when they are at their worst. Your love has the power to bring out the best in them and the best in yourself.
- If you focus on trying to change your spouse’s flaws, then both of you will be frustrated, but if you focus your energy on trying to change your own flaws, both of you will benefit.
With the stress of planning a wedding these thoughts are words to live by. As you go through heated moments think of the big picture … this is about starting a lifetime together.

All animal based charities and organizations are very dear to my heart. Blink of an eye has events throughout the year in support of the Oakville and Milton Humane Society. We work on the annual calendar and have hosted several events throughout the year with the proceeds going to the human society. Monday, February 25, 2013 is National Cupcake Day for Humane Societies and SPCA’s.
Our close friend and great baker Sprinkles Cakes and Cupcakes will be donating these cute paw print cupcakes to help support this great cause!! The Funds raised from National Cupcake Day™ go back to help the shelters, clinics, Inspectors and animals in your community.
SPCAs & Humane Societies receive very little government funding, so fundraising initiatives like National Cupcake Day are vital to increasing donations and awareness of the fight to prevent animal cruelty.
