Savannah Architecture – A journey via Photography
There are many places through out the south where the old architecture is stunning. While we were walking through the old part of town we came across the Lucas Theater. The detail is stunning. The Lucas Theatre was built in 1921 by Arthur Lucas and architect C.K. Howell. It was used primarily for movies but has also held many live shows in its time. It was also interesting to learn that the theater was the first building in Savannah to install air conditioning in 1923. Since 1986 when it was rescued from demolition the theater has undergone a significant restoration. When we first visited the theater a few years ago it was partially complete and after visiting it this year it appears to be now complete.
Just a few shots from our Photography Gallery. Tomorrow some photography from around town.
We’ve passed by this little nook for years coming down to the island. Today we finally made a point of stopping the car and ventured in. There was such a treasure of vintage decor and antique finds here! I was in absolute heaven 🙂 I’m heading back before we leave to bring back a few new “additions” to our home 🙂 — in Hilton Head Island, SC.
The building has a very unique and historical background. This 1873 church building nestled on the nursery property at The Greenery is a delight for history buffs and for shoppers. In 1973, Ruthie and Berry Edwards saw a quaint little church for sale, right next to the brand new Bethlehem Baptist Church. The building had a ‘For Sale’ sign, so the Edward’s purchased it for $600 and barged the old church to Hilton Head, where it now sits. Click here to check out more of its history.
The farm and nature reserve. How about farm wedding photography?
Looking at these I would love to have the opportunity to do wedding photography on a farm this season. If you are so inclined and farms or animals are part of you a farm can offer some really great wedding pictures. In the barns, tractors, with the horses or other animals. They all offer a really great background for wedding pictures. While we are down here in South Carolina we have spent a little time exploring the island. Below are a few pictures that show some of the diversity of the island. From the beach to the nature reserve to adventuring around sea pines.
My Vacation Through Photography
We are currently away enjoying a much needed break from our hectic lives. It is a time for our whole family to reconnect and join some much needed downtime together. During these times I get to take photos and document our time together as a tourist. For the next little while I will show a few of our special moments together. My family and kids are very special in my life. I love capturing those moments when my kids are being themselves. This love of the innocence of children is why I do what I do. beyond weddings I get to spend much of my work week capturing babies and kids just being themselves.
|One of my passions has always been the beauty of nature. For those who don’t know me personally before photography I majored in biology. my whole life I have been around animals and I love nothing more than going for a hike or spending tje summer camping. it is great to be hear in south carolina where it is warm enough to take photowalks or just sit outside in the evening or night. Hopefully before we go I will be able to capture the dear that visit our garden, the owls at night and an alligator or two.|

National Cupcake Day for Humane Societies and SPCAs
All animal based charities and organizations are very dear to my heart. Blink of an eye has events throughout the year in support of the Oakville and Milton Humane Society. We work on the annual calendar and have hosted several events throughout the year with the proceeds going to the human society. Monday, February 25, 2013 is National Cupcake Day for Humane Societies and SPCA’s.
Our close friend and great baker Sprinkles Cakes and Cupcakes will be donating these cute paw print cupcakes to help support this great cause!! The Funds raised from National Cupcake Day™ go back to help the shelters, clinics, Inspectors and animals in your community.
SPCAs & Humane Societies receive very little government funding, so fundraising initiatives like National Cupcake Day are vital to increasing donations and awareness of the fight to prevent animal cruelty.

The Blink Of An Eye Wedding Photographer team is all female and ideal for South Asian weddings and other cultures that require a female wedding photographer to document the bride and her family while she is getting ready.
Even where cultures and customs do not necessitate a female wedding photographer we find that many brides feel more comfortable and at home with a female wedding photographer team to document the day prior to the ceremony. Having been trained as a doula in addition to the many pregnant and nursing moms that we have in our studio we strive to make any woman comfortable in any situation. Your wedding day can be stressful and having someone that you feel comfortable while getting your make up ready, getting dressed and bonding with your bridal party can impact the overall tone of the day.
